
The PokerStars.com European Poker Tour is Europe’s richest and most popular poker tour and shortly to embark on its seventh season.
Season 7 will again feature 13 scheduled events with a debut event to start the season in Tallinn, Estonia, welcome returns to the golf haven of Vilamoura in Portugal, ‘EPT Snowfest’ in the stunning Austrian ski resort of Saalbach-Hinterglemm and Germany’s capital city of Berlin as well as spectacular “Festivals of Poker” such as EPT London, the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and the EPT Grand Final.
Season 6 was a resounding success with many events enjoying bigger fields than ever before. The season’s show piece tournament – the €10,000 EPT Grand Final – attracted 848 players with a prize pool of €8.48 million. The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, which forms part of the EPT, was the richest tournament ever held outside of Las Vegas with a prize pool of nearly $15 million and EPT San Remo event in Italy was also a record-breaker with an astonishing 1,240 players.The total prize pool for EPT Season 6 was €56,672,284 created by over 9,000 Main Event players.

John Duthie was already a successful TV director and high stakes poker player when he won the 2000 Poker Million live on TV, a feat which earned him £1 milion and helped popularise poker in the UK. In association with PokerStars.com, he launched the televised European Poker Tour in 2004 and has seen his brainchild flourish into Europe’s richest and most prestigious poker circuit. The EPT show is broadcast to some 40 countries around the world.
Thomas Kremser EPT Tournament Director
A recognised and highly respected director of tournaments across Europe. Thomas, CEO of TK Poker Events International, has been responsible for establishing and running numerous festivals around the globe. He was tournament director of Channel 4’s groundbreaking Late Night Poker and various other televised tournaments and is heavily involved with the promotion of poker as a recognized sport around the world.
